Greensburg, IN — The Greensburg Fire Department will host a firehouse chili supper from 4-7 this evening (Friday) at the Ireland Street fire station.
The chili supper began about 20 years ago to allow the public to meet firefighters, check out the firehouse and fire trucks, as well as enjoy a bowl of chili.
The tradition is making a return after a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of the items on display at the chili supper will be the fire truck that is wrapped in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Assistant Fire Chief Brian Wenning says the truck will head to Greensburg High School after the chili supper for the Pirates home football game vs. Milan – the theme of which is “Pink Out Night.”
As for the chili supper, a free-will donation will get you a bowl of chili with all of the fixings.
There will also be kids’ items on the menu.
Wenning says everyone throughout the area is welcome.
