Rose Lee Nocks, 95, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
She was born June 25, 1927, in Moores Hill, IN, daughter of the late Elmore Wingate and Rosa (Weis) Wingate.
Rose worked as a lineworker for Schenley Distillery, and then as a clerk at Tandy’s Clothing.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Aurora.
Rose enjoyed her card club with friends. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed outfitting her daughters in the latest fashions. Rose liked walking, and bowling, and she enjoyed spending time reading, and solving word puzzles. She loved spending time with her family, especially on pie night, and she will be greatly missed.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Valeria Darlin of West Harrison, IN, Lisa Roland of Aurora, IN, Bobbie (Rick) Orcutt of Aurora, IN; sister, Norma Musgrove of Falmouth, KY; grandchildren, Shawn O’Haver, Sarah O’Haver, Kiersten (Matt) Libby, Jared Brandt, Kaitlin (Brian) Hudson, Megan Orcutt, Emily Orcutt, Jacob Orcutt, Dylan Roland; great-grandchildren, Kylan Brandt, Ellery Libby, Gracie Hoover-Orcutt, Brogan Hensley, Kaden Orcutt, Remington Roland, Ryder Cotton, and Elliana Orcutt; son-in-law, James Brandt.
She was preceded in death by parents, Elmore and Rosa; her loving husband of 58 years, Robert W. Nocks; daughter, Linda S. Nocks Brandt; siblings, John Ochs, Willard Wingate, Eleanor Wingate, Ruth Wingate, Darlene Hohweiler, Doris Pilz and Linda Gray; son in law, Gregory Roland.
A memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 4-6 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 pm at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at 1:00 pm at the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
