BROOKVILLE, IN — A hot wing eating champion was crowned Friday evening in Brookville as part of the festivities the night before CanoeFest.
Craig Brown won the Brookville Blazing Inferno Challenge wing eating contest and described how hot the wings were.
“It’s almost like putting a hot coal in your mouth,” Brown said. “The problem is, I’ve done so much hot stuff that my fiance says our food is always too spicy and she won’t eat it, so you just eat a lot of hot sauce.”
Brown has hot-wing eating contest experience: he placed in the Weekend of Fire competition last October at Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield, Ohio.
He was the last man standing among 12 competitors who entered Friday’s contest.
