LAWRENCEBURG, IN — The Dearborn County Plan Commission will hold an open house next month to discuss draft updates to the county’s zoning ordinance.
The public workshop is scheduled for July 14 from 6-9 pm in Agner Hall at the Lawrenceburg Fairgrounds.
The plan commission is looking specifically at Agricultural and Residential zoning districts, including ordinances dealing with the keeping of animals.
Dearborn County officials and staff will be on-hand to discuss two different draft zoning map alternatives to coincide with the draft updates to the Agricultural and Residential zoning districts, and their permitted and conditional uses, new or expanded or amended definitions of uses and related limitations, changes to standards such as setbacks, minimum lot sizes, and widths, and other related items.
Dearborn County residents and business owners are invited to attend this session or written comments may be submitted by mail to the Department of Planning & Zoning, 165 Mary Street, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025, or by email to [email protected].
