Motorcyclist flown to hospital following Sunday evening wreck

CROSS PLAINS, IN — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash near State Road 62 and County Road 525 East in Cross Plains Sunday evening (pictured).

Investigators say the motorcyclist lost control and was thrown onto the road shortly before 7 pm.

He was treated at the scene before being taken by medical helicopter to the hospital.

There’s no word on the victim’s name or condition.

Responding agencies included the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department, the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, Ripley County EMS, Air Methods Bedford medical helicopter, and Carl’s Wrecker Service.
