David Lee Sallee, 67, Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at his residence in Greensburg.
Born, August 26, 1954 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Leo Alfred “Ottie” and Ethel Mae (Hammil) Sallee.
David was a 1972 graduate of Greensburg High School. He had worked for 37 years at American Lifts. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, he loved mowing yards with his grandson, Mason. David was in charge of the Greensburg Men Softball Diamonds for several years. He enjoyed attending Greensburg Pirate Basketball games, loved watching IU basketball and enjoyed playing poker with his friends.
He was married to Angie J. Cooper on August 22, 1981 and she survives.
He is also survived by three children, Lisa Harden, Columbus, Ryan (Meghann) Sallee, Oxford, FL, Jennifer (Joey) Howell, Greensburg; grandchildren, Heather and Bailey Harden, Mason and Isabelle Sallee, Oriana Cleary, Katlin, Joseph, and Jacob Howell, Sofia and Josephine Sallee; one great grandson, Camden Howell; brothers, Daniel “Joe” (Arletta) Sallee, Greensburg, Clifford (Rita) Sallee, Moscow; sisters, Sarah Clark (John Wickard), Greensburg, Christine (Art) Powers, Greensburg; two sisters-in-law, Linda Hammil, Greensburg, Roxie Sallee, Greensburg; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Alfred Sallee, Richard Sallee and Charles Wayne Hammil; one brother in law, Robert “Mudduck” Clark.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 12:00 noon with Rev. Greg Redd at the funeral home. Burial will take place at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
