Christopher L. Ahaus, 58, of Greendale, Indiana, formerly of Aurora and Yorkville, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, in Edgewood, Kentucky.
He was born November 14, 1963, son of the late Frank Ahaus and Anna (Roark) Ahaus.
He worked as a Mechanic for the Dearborn County Highway Department, with over 36 years of service.
He was a member of the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department, Company #2 for over 18 years and a member of the Aurora Moose Lodge.
Christopher loved collecting eagles. He enjoyed camping and putting together Chevrolet model cars. He was constantly doing repairs on weed eaters, mowers, and chain saws. He loved his wiener dogs, Rudy, Rindy, Beau and Bella. He was also breeding dachshund dogs.
Christopher is survived by his loving wife Jane (Coghill) Ahaus, daughter, Christina (Russell) Draper of OK; siblings, Francis (Kim) Ahaus of ME, Sandy (Gary) Stenger of Sunman, IN, Mary (Rick) Clark of Dillsboro, IN, Johnnie (Paula) Ahaus of OK, Tami (Troy) Ahaus of Milan, IN; grandchildren, Anna & Russell Jr. Draper.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Ahaus; brothers, William and Tommy Ahaus.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Aurora Moose campground from 3-7 pm. We ask that everyone bring their own drinks.
