BATESVILLE, IN — Students from Batesville Community Schools and St. Louis Catholic School will participate in Walk To School Day on May 18.
Participants will gather at Liberty Park between 6:45 and 7 am, with adult supervision provided.
The walk from Liberty Park will start promptly at 7 am and will end at the Batesville Intermediate School and Batesville Middle School campuses.
Batesville Primary and Batesville High School students who choose to participate will be bussed to their schools from BMS.
Transporation back to Liberty Park for adult and parent participants will be available.
In addition, a “Walking School Bus” will leave McNair Manor Apartments at 7:10 am and travel to BMS via Boehringer and West Pearl streets.
Organizers say students and parents who live along that route are welcome to join the walking school bus as it passes through their neighborhoods.
