Greensburg’s Ella Chapman has committed to play Division I Volleyball at Florida Gulf Coast University.
GCHS volleyball coach June Rigney said she is very proud and excited for Chapman. Rigney was also lobbying on social media for some flights and tickets so she and her Pirate teammates could watch her play in person.

And former Lady Pirate Melina Wilkison was named the Big 10 Softball Freshman of the Week.
In a three game series at Michigan, the Ohio State Buckeye hit .583 with a slugging percentage of 1.083. Of her seven hits, four went for extra bases including one that left the yard. She also scored four runs.
