H.S. baseball recaps from Monday, April 25

The following are high school baseball recaps from Monday, April 25.  All events are varsity unless noted otherwise. There may be updates, so please check back.

Batesville’s Jack Grunkemeyer tossed a no hitter in a 10-0 victory over Greensburg.  He struck out 11 and walked three.  The right-handed sophomore has now allowed zero hits in three of his four starts this season.

Offensively, Grunkemeyer had two hits of his own and an RBI.  Charlie Schebler singled and doubled with three ribbies.  Travis Lecher knocked in two runs on a double while Zach Wade, Will Jaisle and Will Sherwood all plated a run.

Batesville’s JV also got a no-hit pitching performance from Carter Bohman.  He struck out 11 in a 5-0 win against Greeensburg.

Also for the Bulldog reserves, Sam Weigel had three hits and Nate Vankirk collected two.

Jac-Cen-Del bounced back from Saturday and defeated Crothersville 10-0.

Devin Grieshop and Kameron Darnold combined on a six-inning, one-hit shutout.  Grieshop struck out eight and gave up one hit. Darnold fanned four and walked two.

Offensively for Jac, Clark Dwenger and Justin Swinney both had a hit and two RBI.  Landon Comer also had a hit and a ribbie.
