Batesville’s Lisa Gausman-

Batesville opened up their outdoor season tonight and came out on fire, despite the CRAZY weather!  Yes, not a beautiful night for any Spring Sport to compete, but especially at our track meet.  The evening started out cold and cloudy, then a little drizzle came down, which changed to rain, which then changed to snow, then to sleet pellets. A little later the sun came out, there was even a rainbow in the distance, but it was still pretty windy and cold.
However, despite this great Indiana early spring weather, the Bulldogs finished the night with two team victories. The girls won 77-48, coming in first in 10 of the 16 events and the boys were victorious with a score of 80-39 and winning 12 of the 16 events and of those 12 they won every event on the oval with the last event (the 4 x 400m relay) only winning by less than a 1/2 second with Benjamin Moster’s all out effort and falling finish.  Congratulations Dogs!
