BATESVILLE, IN — Thanks to funding from the Indiana Department of Education’s 1008 Student Learning Recovery Grant, the Southeastern Indiana YMCA will be able to offer discounted fees for youth attending summer day camp to lessen financial hardships.
Children must be registered by June 24 to save $20 off weekly camp fees.
Summer Camp at the Southeastern Indiana YMCA is for children entering Grade 1 through age 12.
Parents/guardians can sign their child up for one week, two weeks, or all 10 weeks of camp.
Each week of camp incorporates a new theme and activities that may include swimming, hiking, fishing, crafts, STEM projects, games, and more.
“Summer camp is so much more than fun in the sun,” says YMCA Learning Center Childcare Manager Tameeka Sizemore. “At the Y we provide an exciting and safe community for young
people to explore the great outdoors, build self-esteem, develop new skills, and make lasting friendships.”
More information on summer camp can be found by visiting siymca.org or by calling the YMCA Learning Center at (812) 932-1415.
