Christine J. McGraw

Christine J. McGraw, 83, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Aurora, Indiana passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

She was born November 11, 1938, in Los Angeles, CA, daughter of the late Lillian (Horner) Kraus.

Christine graduated from the Villa Madonna Academy in Villa Hills Kentucky. She then went on to the University of Kentucky where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Culinary Food Service. Chris worked as a teacher for S. E. IN. Vocational School, retiring after over 30 years of service.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, River City Classic Cars, Main Street Aurora, Bridge Club, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Tri Kappa Sorority. Chris enjoyed cooking, shopping and vacationing. She collected dolls, villages and angels. Chris was very patriotic and loved her country. She enjoyed being with people, socializing and having a good time, and she was always the life of the party. She enjoyed time with her family and she will be greatly missed.

Chris is survived by her sons, Dan McGraw of Aurora, IN, Pat (Randi) McGraw of Aurora, IN; brother, Tom (Sheila) Aylor of Versailles, IN; grandchildren, Danielle, Taylor, Bailey & Parker; great-grandchild, Lincoln; many cousins, relatives and great friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, S/Sgt Michael S. Cusick and Lillian Kraus; husband, Terry McGraw; sister, Sherry Cusick; aunt, Jo “Sissy” Horner.

Friends will be received Saturday, April 2, 2022, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 203 Fourth Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the church, at 1:00 pm with Father Daniel Mahan officiating.

Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
