WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Switzerland County woman has turned herself into the FBI as part of the investigation into the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot.
46-year-old Nancy Barron of Patriot is charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a Capitol Building; and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol Building.
The FBI is using video from Barron’s social media as evidence of her participation in the riot.
The agency says Barron contacted them on January 7, 2021, the day after the siege, and admitted to being in the Capitol building during the riot, which took place as lawmakers tried to certify the results of the 2020 Presidential election.
