Driver suffers minor injury in two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning

RIPLEY COUNTY, IN — Minor injuries were reported following a car vs. garbage truck collision just before 6 am Wednesday on State Road 46 near County Road 650 East between Morris and Penntown.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says 25-year-old Emily Wuerdeman’s car hit a garbage truck that was on the side of the road.

Wuerdeman, who is from Cincinnati, suffered a minor cut to her forehead and was trapped inside the wreckage for a short time.

The unidentified garbage truck driver was not injured.

State Road 46 was temporarily shut down after the crash.

Ripley County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by the Batesville Police Department, the Morris Fire Department, and Batesville EMS.
