Maxine Fae Vaught Tomlin, 79, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
She was born March 26, 1942, in Pineville, KY, daughter of the late Lawrence Collett and Geneva (Shepherd) Mummert.
Maxine worked as a Machinist for Cincinnati Incorporated, retiring after over 28 years of service, and at the Grand Victoria/Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun for several years.
She enjoyed bingo and gambling. Maxine enjoyed baking, and decorating wedding cakes. She fired and painted ceramics and enjoyed making floral arrangements. Maxine loved to dance. She loved time with her family and friends, especially taking trips with family.
Maxine is survived by her children, Vonda (Ralph) Dell of Burlington, KY, Timothy (Sharon) Lawson of Greendale, IN, Anthony Lawson of Aurora, IN, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Lawson of Gulfport, MS, Karlissa (Joseph) Burkart of Aurora, IN; sister, Glenda (Jim) Dryden of Manchester, IN; aunt, Marie Shepherd Rupp of Livingston, KY; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Geneva; brother, John Collett; sister, Kay Seabolt; niece, Cathy Riehle; nephew, Mike Seabolt; great-niece, Michelle Riehle.
Friends will be received Sunday, February 20, 2022, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, at 4:00 pm with Ted Hallinan officiating.
