In the latest ORVC report ending January 29th, Jac-Cen-Del’s Annabelle Williams and South Ripley’s Gracie Gunter were named the conference’s Girls Basketball Players of the Week.
In two games for the Eagles, Williams scored 27 points going over 1000 for her varsity career. She also ha 19 rebounds, eight steals and four assists.
And in three games for the Raiders, Gunter collected 36 points, 14 rebounds, eight assists, seven steals and five blocks.
The ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week went to Milan’s MJ Hartman. Against Switzerland County, Hartman recorded 27 points, five assists and three rebounds.
Other Ripley County athletes nominated as top performers included: Jac-Cen-Del’s Jalee Rider, Olivia Nealand Wyatt Day, Milan’s Caidan Yorn along with South Ripley’s Rachel Meyer, Mya McNew and Nick Schwarte.
