Jimma Lavelle Jenkins, age 71, of Osgood passed away on Thursday January 20 at Decatur County Hospital. She was born on the daughter of the late James and Eura (Latimer) Mattox in Aurora, Missouri.
She grew up in the Aurora community and was a graduate of Aurora High School. She would meet Bobby Leslie Jenkins thru the church in Oregon and they were united in marriage on January 18, 1974. They would return to Missouri to raise their family.
Jimma enjoyed playing the piano and leading songs at church. A favorite pass time was to listen to Anthony Burger and the Gaither Band. She liked to watch movies, especially Christmas themed.
She is survived by husband Bobby, sons Hensley (Mary) Jenkins of Willard, Missouri and Eric Jenkins of Springfield, Missouri, daughters Belinda Gonzalez of Springfield, Missouri, Fayrene (Gary) Lambert of Oklahoma City, Rosene (Donald) Arthur of Willard, Missouri, and Marlene (John) King of Osgood, brother Clifford (Kathy) Mattox, sisters Violeta (Dave) Martello and Rene (Ron) Green, sister-in-law Laurie Mattox, along with 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Wayne Jenkins, and Robert Jenkins, and brother James Mattox.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022 from 10 am.-12 pm. at Neal’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12 pm. Saturday, with Pastor John King officiating.
