State sets another record for daily COVID-19 cases

STATEWIDE — The State of Indiana has set another record for daily COVID-19 cases.

The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) on Thursday reported 15,277 cases, which is around 2,300 more than the previous record set the day before.

In addition, there were 150 deaths across the state.

Locally, Dearborn County reported 125 new positive cases; Ripley County had 48; Decatur County had 37 new cases plus two deaths, and Franklin County reported 17 cases.

IDOH also reported the state’s seven-day positivity rate is 23.8 percent.
