Lloyd L. Walsh, 77, of Versailles passed away at 9:40am, Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg. He was born at the Whitlatch Clinic in Milan on November 29, 1944, the son of John Leslie and Ruth Brower Walsh. He was married to his high school sweetheart Bernice Pulley on October 13, 1961 and after 55 years of marriage she preceded him in death on August 31, 2016. Survivors include three daughters Lisa (John) Clark of Aurora, Kim (Pat) Cornett of Moores Hill, and Raven Walsh of Aurora; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers Alan Walsh of Bloomington and David (Janie) Walsh of Palm Bay, Florida. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and his infant brother Charles. Mr. Walsh was a 1962 graduate of Versailles High School. Lloyd spent his working career as a self-employed carpenter and also belonged to Carpenters Union Local 1147 in Lawrenceburg. He enjoyed vacations in Florida, attending auctions and rodeos, and also horseback riding. Lloyd was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mike Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Monday beginning at 10am. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
