DECATUR COUNTY, IN — Decatur County Commissioner Jerome Buening says he will not run for re-election next year.
Buening told WRBI, “I think it’s time for someone else to put their eyes on county government.”
He also expressed a desire to spend more time with his family.
Buening added that now is the time for potential candidates to get their thoughts together and consider running.
The five-term Republican has represented District 2 since first taking office in January 2003.
