Mrs. Rosann Marie (Lyon) Houze

Mrs. Rosann Marie (Lyon) Houze, age 71, of Rising Sun, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, entered this life on July 6, 1950 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Rev. Howard Raymond and Barbara June (Furnish) Lyon. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana where she was a 1967 graduate of the Patriot High School. Rosann was united in marriage on August 26, 1967 at the Patriot Baptist Church in Patriot, Indiana to Ronald Houze. This happy union was blessed with three children, Patrick, Andrea and Faith. Rosann and Ronald shared over 54 loving years of marriage together until her passing. Rosann was a former teacher for the Faith Christian Academy in Patriot and Cross Plains, Indiana for 10+ years. She was also a customer service representative for FSI Printing in Aurora, Indiana for 10 years. Rosann also was employed as a rewards representative for Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Florence, Indiana for one year. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Patriot, Indiana. Rosann enjoyed reading, word games, Sudoku and spending time with her family. Rosann passed away at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 6, 2021, at her residence in Rising Sun, Indiana.

Rosann will be missed by her husband, Ronald Houze of Rising Sun, IN; her son, Patrick (Kelly) Houze of Florence, KY; her daughters, Andrea (Samuel) Shackleford of Rising Sun, IN and Faith (Walter) Vinson of Somerset, KY; Mimi to seven grandchildren, Clay and Estin Bruns, Kacey and Jack Houze, Bonnie Smith, Aaron and Samantha Shackleford; her four great-grandchildren, Harley, Jayden, Eliana and Lyle Shackleford and her sister, Sharon Clark of Rising Sun, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Raymond and Barbara June (Furnish) Lyon.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 10, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Sherman Hughes, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
