Adams Township Fire Chief facing Criminal Recklessness With A Firearm charges

ST. PAUL, IN — The Adams Township Fire Chief has been arrested following a disturbance with shots fired in St. Paul Sunday night.

Police were called to a home at 303 East Water Street in St. Paul shortly before 9 pm Sunday. The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office said, as a result of the investigation, 34-year-old Craig Jones was charged with four Level 5 felony counts of Criminal Recklessness with a Firearm.

Jones is being held in the Decatur County Jail.

In addition to the Sheriff’s Office, other responding agencies included Decatur County Communications, the St. Paul Police Department, the St. Paul and Greensburg fire departments, and Decatur County EMS.

In a press release, the Sheriff’s Office said, “As with all suspects, Craig Jones is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”

No other details about the incident were released.
