City, county cement partnership on Park Road improvement project

Greensburg Mayor Joshua Marsh

GREENSBURG, IN — Decatur County Commissioners and the City of Greensburg have taken the next steps toward improvements to Park Road.

“It’s 75% owned by the city and 25% owned by the county, so we need them to be our partners on it, and they agreed to do that on Monday,” said Greensburg Mayor Joshua Marsh. “So I am hopeful that our presentation to INDOT in January will be met with great review and hopefully some funding would be much appreciated as well to help us with that project.”

“It is something we need to get started on today if we hope to have it done by 2030, which is kind of a crazy thing to say but that’s the way that works, and we’re excited to have the county’s partnership on that now,” Marsh added.

Park Road runs between downtown Greensburg and Fairgrounds Park.

Marsh made his comments during the Mayor’s Daily Briefing Tuesday morning on WRBI. You can listen to the complete interview here.
