GREENSBURG, IN — The Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting Friday and several awards were handed out.
The meeting was held virtually again this year due to the ongoing pandemic.
The prestigious Don Horan Community Leader of the Year Award went to Jennifer Maddux, who was recognized for her work with Special Olympics, developmental services, and her involvement with other community organizations.
Liz McCoy, the Business Development Manager for RBSK IT Consulting, was named Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year.
The Entrepreneur of the Year is Dr. Anthony Noles with Noles Family Dental.
And the $1,000 Small Business Grant went to the Southeastern Baptist Youth Camp.
Award winners were surprised when Chamber Executive Director Dawn Lowe and her staff went out in the community to personally present the hardware. The award presentations were recorded and compiled into a 35-minute video, which will soon be available for viewing at www.greensburgchamber.com and on the Chamber’s YouTube channel.
Lora Williams with Williams Law Office, Greensburg Community Schools Superintendent Tom Hunter, Crystal Greathouse with Decatur County REMC, and Pam Hersley with First Financial Bank were installed as new Chamber board members.
Jason Barbieri was recognized as 2020 Chamber President, while Mandy Lohrum was honored for serving as 2021 Chamber President.
The Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 115th birthday this year.
