A win and a loss for Lady Raider Basketball to start new campaign

The Lady Raiders basketball team began the 2021-22 season with a win and a loss over the weekend.

South Ripley opened the season at home Friday with a 45-35 victory over Austin.

Sara Meyer racked up 21 points, nine rebounds and three blocks for the Versailles crew.  Teammate Katelynn Samples netted nine points and six boards.  Gracie Gunter garnered eight points, five assists and six caroms.  And Mya McNew pulled down nine rebounds plus chipped in five points.

The Green and White fell at Hauser on Saturday, 50-38.  Gunter led the Raiders with a double-double night posting 16 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah Meyer followed with nine points and five boards while Emily Flood added scored eight and secured four caroms.
