Greensburg captured a home conference win Tuesday defeating Franklin County 25-5, 25-15 and 25-8.
“We controlled the tempo and sustained it through the entire contest,” said Greensburg coach June Rigney.
“At the line serving, Abigail Hoeing was effective serving 21-21 with 3 aces, Josie Nobbe was 10-10 with 2 aces and Christina Fogg was 12-12,” noted Rigney. “Strong play at the net came from Nobbe who had 19 kills and Ella Chapman had 12. Defensively, Abigail Hoeing dug 14 hits while Fogg followed with 11. Jenna Foster put up 25 assists for our hitters. We are now 17-5 overall and 3-2 in the conference. We have two matches left in our regular season.”
Franklin County coach Jill Mergenthal stated, “We played a really great set two but just didn’t have enough time to push any more points to the scoreboard.

The GCHS JV won 25-17, 25-13.
Franklin County JV coach Tana Stang said, “The girls came out with so much motivation and high energy; however, we let one mistake turn into many.”
