BATESVILLE, IN — A social media post reminding Batesville residents to lock their homes and vehicles is just that – a reminder.
That’s the word from Police Chief Stan Holt, who tells WRBI that his officers have responded recently to a few break-ins “here and there” but adds there’s not been a rash of burglaries around the city.
Holt says he was asked by a local organization about a tip line, and one of his officers subsequently posted the reminder on social media that residents can anonymously report a crime by going to the city’s website www.batesvilleindiana.us and using the police department tab.
