Rushville had to beat Batesville, Connersville and Lawrenceburg within the same week to win the EIAC boys tennis title outright. They did just that capping the week Saturday with a 5-0 win at Lawrenceburg.
“A long ride to Lawrenceburg was worth the trip,” said Rushville coach Hollis Heuer. “We got a convincing win to wrap up the conference crown undefeated at 7-0. We had some goals in mind for the season and the Lions achieved this one in a big way. A boys tennis undefeated conference championship is a rare event for the Rushville Lions, and we couldn’t be prouder of this bunch for what they have pulled off.”
