South Ripley won its first Ripley County volleyball championship since 2015 Saturday, knocking off perennial champion Batesville in the title match in five sets. The Raiders took games one and two 27-25 and 25-18. The defending champ Bulldogs fought to claim the next two 25-16 and 25-17. But it was the Raiders who won the tiebreaker and the hardware with a 15-12 set five final.
Batesville won the JV tourney over Milan in the finals. No information was provided.
