Statewide — The number of Indiana counties reporting dead birds has doubled.
There are now over 40 counties reporting the deaths of songbirds in the Hoosier state.
The cause of the birds’ deaths is not known.
Hoosiers are being asked not to feed birds, avoid handling them, and keep pets away from dying or sick birds.
