Franklin County, IN — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the passing of retired K-9 Lito. A Dutch Shepherd, Lito served the community from 2010 to 2017. During his years of service, Lito was responsible for aiding in numerous drug-related arrests, suspect arrests, and missing person searches. He also appeared at a number of events on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office. Lito lived his retirement life at the home of his handler, Sgt. Adam Henson. Lito was 14-years-old.
