Dr. Robert Anthony Weil, 84, of Milan passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021, at UC Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Robert was born to Stephen and Emily (Seissiger) Weil in Cincinnati, OH on Tuesday, January 5, 1937. Robert married the love of his life, Marilynn Wehrman. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He served his country in the Ohio National Guard. Robert graduated from the veterinary program at Ohio State University. He owned and operated the New Burlington Animal Hospital, North of Mt. Healthy, for 30 plus years and was a member of the Indiana Veterinarian Medical Association. Robert enjoyed farming, raising cattle, and going to county fairs.
Robert is survived by his wife, Marilynn of Milan; daughters: Leah (Jeff) Meinders of Milan, Emily (Chris) Buchanan of Westport, and Stephenie Cook (Tom Hauser) of Southgate, KY; brother Stephen (Betsie) Weil of Chicago, IL; sisters Jane Maher and Ann Griesdorn both of Cincinnati, OH, and Rita (Bob) Caldwell of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren; Chad Meinders, Heath Meinders, Devon Cook, Laura Sullivan, and Kelsey Buchanan; and seven great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember Robert from 9-11 AM on Friday, June 18, 2021 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 213 Ripley Street, Milan, IN 47031. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM also at the church with Father Shaun Whittington and Father Frank Eckstein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Pius Cemetery, Northwest of Milan.
