Sherry Ann Hawk, 47, of Milan, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at UC Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Monday, July 23, 1973 in Decatur County, Indiana to Andrew and Virginia (Back) Huff. Sherry married her husband Bradley on Saturday, June 24, 1995 and he survives. She was a dedicated member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Milan. For over twenty years, Sherry was a sixth-grade teacher at St. Nicholas Catholic School and enjoyed every minute of it. In her free time, she loved to read, go to sporting events, play card games, and go on daily runs. Golfing with her best friend, Robyn, was always something she looked forward to as well. However, what Sherry cherished most was quality time spent with her husband and their three sons.
Sherry will be deeply missed by her husband, Brad, of Milan; sons Paul, Chris, and Joe Hawk all of Milan; brothers Roger (Bonnie) Huff of Osgood and Scott (Kelly) Huff of Madison; sisters Linda (Mike) Sexton of Radcliff, Kentucky, Jane Riehle of Versailles, Dianne (Brent) Davis of Columbus, Indiana, and Kathy Plue of Shelbyville, Indiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Randy Riehle.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember Sherry on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home from 5 PM to 8 PM. A rosary service will be held just before that at 4:30 PM at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church located at 6461 E. St. Nicholas Dr., Sunman, Indiana 47041 with Father Shaun Whittington officiating. Burial will be held immediately after at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Milan. Memorials may be given in honor of Sherry to the American Cancer Society or to the family (Bradley Hawk).
