Wildcats Double Up Tigers On The Diamond

After struggling through much of the first 4 innings, The Franklin County Wildcats scored 7 runs between the 5th and 6th innings to earn an 8-4 win over The Lawrenceburg Tigers on Thursday night.

Brady Brandenburg and Garrett Ertel split the pitching duties on Thursday and each delivered solid performances to keep FC in striking distance while the Wildcat bats were late to get started. In the 5th, FC was sparked by an RBI triple from Joe Fields for which led to FC taking a 4-3 lead going into the 6th. After the Tigers tied the game at 4 in the top of the inning, in the bottom of the 6th, Brant Ertel cleared the bases with a two-out, 3 run double. FC would add another insurance run to make the final score 8-4

FC is now 14-6 on the year with an 8-4 EIAC record. FC finishes the season next week.

Monday will be Senior Night at Jim Hughes field as FC hosts Rushville

FC will then travel to Rushville on Thursday and Lincoln on Friday to end the regular season.
