In a split doubleheader between Greensburg and Northeastern, FC dropped game 2 against The Northeastern Knights 6-3. Kristian Prows recorded a triple for the Wildcat offense
Franklin County picked up a road conference win on Wednesday night at Greensburg, 14-5.
Joe Fields picked up the win on the mound, going 5 strong innings. Offensively, FC was led by Junior Kristian Prows who went 3-3 with a triple at the plate.
FC beat Greensburg on Saturday morning in a 5-0 game.
FC controlled the whole game, thanks in large part to pitcher Brant Ertel on the mound. In a 7 inning complete game, Ertel gave up just 3 hits and struck out 17, tying a 7-inning school record (Alex Bischoff in 2019 had 20 strikeouts over 9 innings).
The Wildcats moved to 6-4 in EIAC play with 2 weeks of the season remaining.
FC will travel to Lawrenceburg on Monday. On Thursday, Lawrenceburg will come to FC in the second game of the season series. Both games are slated for a 5:30 first pitch.
