The East Central Trojans jumped on the FC Wildcats early in often to run away with a 16-3 victory on Monday Night.
Franklin County made several attempts to close the gap, but the Trojans were able to keep extending the lead and put the finishing touches on the game with an eight run sixth inning.

With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 5-5 (2-1 EIAC) on the season. Franklin County’s Varsity team will be back in action on Tuesday night when the Wildcats travel to Jac-Cen-Del for a Varsity-Only contest. First pitch scheduled for 5:30 pm.
The Franklin County JV Wildcats kept their winning streak alive on Monday evening as they picked up a 6 – 3 victory over East Central.
The game was tied at one after the first inning, and then Franklin County was able to use a big second inning to take control of the game. The Wildcats strung together four hits in the inning that would lead to four runs. The biggest hit of the inning came on a lead-off home run by Shelby Rosenberger where she sent a 1-1 pitch over the center-field fence.
The remainder of the game was back-and-forth with the Wildcats playing pretty good defense and adding on another run in the bottom of the third to extend the lead. The Trojans would threaten in the top of the fifth, but the Wildcats would shut down the rally for the victory.

With the victory, the Wildcats improve to 5-2 (3-0 EIAC) on the season. The JV squad will be back in action on Thursday evening when they travel to Milan. The Varsity contest will start at 5:30 PM and the JV game will follow immediately after.
