Brookville, IN — Mick and Jenny Wilz and the Brookville Hotel Group worked with other local leaders to co-invest in an Opportunity Zone Fund in 2017, one that has now brought the first hotel to the area. The project started with a feasibility study driven by tourism and now The Cobblestone Inn and Suites is open offering 45 rooms in its two-story facility that overlooks the Brookville Dam on SR 101.
Jenny Wilz stated they always believed a hotel would greatly benefit Brookville and not just for the lake, but for those in the area who have friends and family visiting.
The groundbreaking took place in October of 2019, and with a few complications and a pandemic, was able to open its doors in late 2020. The official ribbon-cutting event was held this Thursday, April, 1 with a large crowd present in the snowy weather.
Cobblestone offers modern suites/rooms, a conference room, dining lounge, small fitness center, and business center by the front lobby. Rooms run from $85-$115 per night.
