L. Kathleen Wilson, 83

L. Kathleen Wilson, 83, of Greensburg, passed away on December 22, 2020. Kathleen was born in Rush County, September 30, 1937 to Ralph and Mabel White and they preceded her in death. She graduated from Greensburg Community High School in May, 1955. She married Donald P. Wilson May 26, 1957. Following graduation she went to work at the County Agents Office and worked there until December 1958. She became the secretary at Rosenmund Elementary School in 1966 and worked until 1979. She then became the district clerk for Eckrich in 1979 and retired from there in 2001.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters Susan (Bryan) Fry, Greensburg and Sheila Jo Koors, Greensburg; two brothers Bill (Joy) White, St. Paul and Ted (Linda) White, Greensburg; Five Grandchildren Mindy (Josh) Zimmer, Shelbyville, Melissa Fry, Greenwood, Kyle Koors, Bowling Green, KY, Spencer (Rebecca) Koors, Greensburg, and Jessica Koors, Greensburg; and one great grandchild, Kaylee Fry, Greenwood.
Kathleen was a member of the First Christian Church in Greensburg where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a deaconess. She was a member of the Golden Rule Sunday School class for 65 years. She enjoyed dancing, playing pinochle, Yahtzee and euchre with family and friends. She could often be found enjoying her grandchildren’s sporting and other activities.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 12:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. All visitors will have to wear a mask and observe social distancing, all public visitation guidelines are subject to change based on current Board of Health restrictions. Rev. Ray Sweet will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church or to the charity of your choice. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
