
She married James H. “Jim” Vanderbur on December 30, 1953. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1993. She worked at Greiwe Seed and Greiwe Tent Rental. After retiring, she volunteered at the hospital, working in the gift shop. Sally enjoyed cooking holiday meals for her family, going to Reds games with Jim and her sister and brother-in law, and the yearly horse racing trips with Jim’s family. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school activities and her euchre and canasta card clubs.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Suzanne (Maurice) Moeller and two sisters who died in infancy. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn of Greensburg, six sons, Rick (Kathy), Mike, David (Donna), all of Greensburg, Kenny of Florida, Paul of Speedway and Karl (Laura) of Zionsville. Six grandchildren, Amy (Rob) Nelson, Kyle Vanderbur, Ashley Brown, Nicole (Joe) Kern, Joe (Megan) Vanderbur, and Ellie Vanderbur. Two great-grandchildren, Logen and Emalie Foster.
A private Mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating and will be broadcast on the funeral home Facebook page on Wednesday, December 23rd at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
