Batesville Wrestling continued their season traveling to Rushville where they went 2-2 in duals moving their season record to 4-5. They started the day with a 54-21 loss to Centerville. They followed with a loss to Greensburg 46-33. Batesville bounced back with a win against Connersville with a score of 36-24. They followed that success with a 39-15 victory against Rushville.
Leading the Bulldogs on the day were Juniors Josh Mobley and Chase Hamilton winning their weight classes, 145 and 195 respectfully with 4-0 records. Mobley picked up 3 pins while Hamilton had 2 pins. Picking up 3 wins on the day was freshman Tacoma Nicholas at 120 with 1 pin, junior Alex Murphy at 126 with 1 pin, junior Tyler Schaeffer at 132 with 2 pins, and freshman Mason Neely at 138. Junior Jy’lil Chappel went 2-2 with 1 pin at 170. Junior Brandon Manning also had a win at 220.
Batesville will nest travel for a dual against Franklin County this coming Tuesday.
