Jerome Lee “Jerry” Schwendenmann, 71, passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2020 at his residence in Greensburg. Born, September 13, 1949 in Greensburg, he was the son of Frank and Esther (Jobst) Schwendenmann. Jerry graduated from Greensburg High School in 1967. He was retired from the Greensburg Adult Center, where he served as the Director of the facility. Jerry was very active in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he was choir director, part of the liturgical committee, the decorating committee, lectured, played the organ, and helped wherever needed. Jerry enjoyed traveling and recently traveled to Germany with the church and his friends. He also enjoyed eating out, joking with friends, buying cards for people, and was looking forward to the inauguration in January. He loved the Christmas season and had numerous decorations he set up in his home. Jerry is survived by his brother; Tom (Carol) Schwendenmann, sister; Mary Melcher, 2 nieces and one nephew, close friends and cousins; Glenn and Nancy Jobst, and his second family; Rocky and Diana Robbins, Kevin, Heather, Carson, and Ethan Miller, and Emily Robbins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Robert Melcher. A private prayer service will be held at a later date.
