Rev. Virgil A. Farringer, age 84, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Sunday, November 22, 2020 in Harrison, Ohio the day 64 years ago he married his beloved wife Delores “Dee” Farringer. Born November 6, 1936 in Findlay, Ohio the son of Roy and Lillian (King) Farringer.
Reverend Farringer married Delores Little November 22, 1956. Virgil was ordained August 31, 1958 and was the minister of Miamitown Church of Christ of Miamitown, Ohio for many years. Lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge #578 Wilmington, Ohio also worked for Hoxworth Blood Center for 16 years.
Survived by his daughter Melinda (Vince) Moore, five grandchildren Charlie (Melissa) Stout, Dustin (Brittany) Stout, Alison (Brian Boveri) Farringer, Ben (Megan) Farringer and Andrew (Jenna) Farringer. Great Grandfather of Ethan, Elizabeth and Landen.
Preceded in death by his parents Roy and Lillian Farringer, his wife, Delores Farringer, son Alan Farringer siblings Bill and Robert Farringer and Madelon Baker.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 Broadway Street Harrison, Ohio 45030 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. for those that can not attend the graveside service 12:00 P.M. at Miamitown Cemetery with Chaplin Kevin Hamilton officiating.
In lieu of flowers Virgil requested that donations be directed to a Christian organization of your choice.
