Update 11:30 am— In an update on the police incident in Batesville, Sgt Stephen Wheeles with the ISP Versailles Posts stated that the incident from Monday morning did end in an officer-involved shooting where the suspect was shot by police. No officers were injured at any time.
The Indiana State Police Versailles Post (ISP) has taken over the investigation at this time. They have verified that troopers with the Indiana State Police along with officers from surrounding agencies are on the scene of a barricaded individual in a residence on Bridlewood Trace in Batesville.
Original Story — Batesville Police Department (BPD) has been on the scene of an ongoing domestic situation Monday morning where there are allegations of shots fired, though it is not known if it is from the suspect or law enforcement. There are no reports if anyone is injured.
The BPD has reported that there are no details to be released at this time and that there are no safety risks for the public.
