Donald R. Bryant

Donald R. “Donnie” Bryant, 75, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away Monday November 2, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

He was born July 5, 1945 in Guilford, Indiana, son of the late Walter Bryant Sr.and Dorothy (Burnett) Bryant.
He served his country as a member of the United States Army. Donnie was very patriotic, he honorably served as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. He also served many years on the local Honor Guard. Donnie was a lifetime member of the Southeastern Indiana Vietnam Veterans of America, Lary D. Fogle Chapter 71.  Donnie was very involved with his community, he served on various committees within the community, he was a Lawrenceburg City Councilman as well as a Lawrenceburg Reserve Police Officer. He also served with the Disaster Relief for the Red Cross. Donnie was a member of the Trinity Christian Center. He worked as a Millwright and foreman for Steadman’s Foundry, GE, Globe Construction, Fernald and the City of Lawrenceburg.

Donnie collected baseball cards and arrow heads. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing, and was a yard sale extraordinaire. Donnie loved helping to provide for people in need. He loved his dog D.D., but time with his family was his greatest joy.

Donald is survived by his loving spouse Debbie Bryant (Nicastro), children, Daniel (Danielle) Bryant of Avon, IN, Deanna Bryant of Dillsboro, IN, Nate (Chrysann) Wallace of Bright, IN, Angie Bryant of Lawrenceburg, IN, Amy Bryant of Aurora, IN; step children, Nikki (Garrett) Johnson of Cincinnati, OH; Casey (Shandy) Stath of IN, Nick Dattilo of West Chester, OH, Cristy (Scott) Davis of West Harrison, IN, Jenny (James) Boling of Cincinnati, OH, Megan (Carra) Sparks of Cincinnati, OH; Brother, James Bryant of Lawrenceburg, IN; Two Sisters, Hope Denison of Moores Hill, IN, Debbie (Michael) Abbott of Osgood, IN; grandchildren, Payton Bryant, Chance & Oscar Wallace, Kirstyn, Jayden, Landyn, Coleton, Brooke, Dominic, Sam, Emma, Max, Jack, Reece, Lucy, Vincent, Kaylie, Lyla, Grace, Charlie, Eston, Aubry, August & Archie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Marlene Bryant; siblings, Lehman, Joe and Walter Bryant Jr., Sandra Smith, Susan Duckworth, Della Lozier.

Friends will be received Saturday, November 7, 2020, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Trinity Christian Center, 18687 Pribble Road, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm with Pastor Cory Potts officiating.

Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of the Southeastern Indiana Honor Guard.
