Jill A. Moorman, age 53 of Batesville, died Friday October 9, 2020. Born June 15, 1967 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Barbara (Nee: Howard) and Irvin Hornberger. She married Mark Moorman September 25, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hubbells Corner near Sunman and worked in housekeeping for Margaret Mary Health.
Family was important to Jill and she especially loved being with her niece and nephews. In her free time, she enjoyed many interests which included playing cards, working crossword puzzles and crocheting afghans. Jill also liked flower and vegetable gardening as well as cooking.
She is survived by her husband Mark; mother Barb Hornberger of Sunman; brothers Jeff (Angela) Hornberger of Columbus, Ohio, Jason (Caryn) Hornberger of Lawrenceburg, Jeremy Hornberger of Sunman; niece Abbie Hornberger of Lawrenceburg and nephews Cody Hornberger of Greensburg, Jacob Hornberger of Lawrenceburg and Tanner Hornberger of Sunman. She is preceded in death by her father Irvin Hornberger.
Visitation is Tuesday, October 13th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home. Funeral services follow at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hubbells Corner with Rev. Marjorie McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The current Governor’s mandate requires all attendees wear a facemask and observe physical distancing at the funeral home. The mask must cover the individual’s nose and mouth at all times. St. John’s Lutheran Church also requires attendees to wear a mask. The family requests memorials be made to the church.
