State hits record high for COVID-19 cases two days in a row

Statewide —The Indiana State Department of Health has reported that 1,488 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Thursday. A total of 129,677 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 1,451,391 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at an 8.9% positive rate and 16 new deaths were reported for a total of 3,515 Hoosiers have died across the state.

Dearborn County has a total of 733 cases and 28 deaths reported (up 4 new cases), Decatur County has a total of 470 positive cases and 39 deaths (up 1 new case), Franklin County has 324 positive cases and 25 deaths (up 4 new cases), and Ripley County has 338 positive cases and 8 deaths (up 1 new case). Locally, this is an increase of 10 new positive cases.
