Greendale, IN — On Saturday evening, Dearborn County Dispatch received a call of gunshots fired at Riverside Inn, located in Greendale. When Police arrived on the scene, they spoke with several patrons and staff and no one reported hearing gunshots. After a few hours, a second call came to the Greendale Police Department of someone wanting to report a person being shot at Riverside Inn under a room registered to a “Talisha.” Police then returned to Riverside Inn and found a room registered to a Talisha Tompkins. When the officers responded to the room, they found the door open, and the body of a black male on the floor against the wall.
The deceased, David Bush-Reynolds, 19 of Cincinnati, sustained a single gunshot wound to the head. A witness to the shooting stated that he along with Demontre Conley, Tompkins, and Bush-Reynolds were all at the Riverside Inn playing with a gun. The witness alleges that Conley stated that the shooting was an accident and they didn’t know the gun was loaded.
Demontre Conley, 19 of Cincinnati, has been charged on allegations of Reckless Homicide and Obstruction of Justice. Talisha Tompkins, 21 also of Cincinnati, has been charged on allegations of Assisting a Criminal and Obstruction of Justice.
