Mr. Dale Robert Covington, age 63, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on July 26, 1957 in Madison, Indiana. He was the son of the late Broadus A. and Pauline (Jump) Covington. Dale was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1976 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Dale was united in marriage on November 5, 1983 at the Vevay Church of Christ to Kathy J. Wagner. Dale and Kathy shared nearly 37 years of marriage together until his death. He was employed for Randall’s Textron in Vevay, Indiana for several years and as a truck driver for DCI Trucking in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for 18 years. Dale was employed as a route driver for Best Way Disposal retiring in 2016 after 16 years of service. Dale enjoyed riding the lawn mower, fishing, John Deere and spending time with his family and friends. Dale especially enjoyed his mini farm, his horses, dogs and cats. Dale passed away at 5:18 a.m., Tuesday September 22, 2020, at the Norton Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dale will be missed by his loving wife, Kathy J. (Wagner) Covington of Vevay, IN; his sons, Cody Covington and his wife, Jennifer of Vevay, IN and Jeremy Jackson and his wife, Shannon of Florence, IN; his grandchildren, Nathan Jackson, Lauren Jackson, Payton Covington, Aiden Covington and Jacob Covington; his sisters, Debra Earl and her husband, Gary of Lexington, KY, Loraine Lukie of Aurora, IN and Annie Clark and her husband, Jim of Clarksville, IN; his half-sisters, Evelyn Sexton of O’Fallon, MO and Dolly Jean Polley of Covington, KY; his several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Broadus A. Covington, died January 25, 1989 and Pauline (Jump) Covington, died September 2, 2012; his brother, Marvin Gerald Covington, died May 31, 1987; his sister, Dora Ernestine “Mickey” Buchanan; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Louise (Shelton) Covington, died September 26, 1996; his brother-in-law, Michael John Lukie, died June 27, 2018; his nephews, Marvin Gerald Covington, Jr., died May 19, 2017 and Timmy Martin and his niece, Misty Noelle Bressert, died August 21, 2010.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery in Vevay, Indiana.
