Versailles, IN — Shortly after 10 am on September 1st, the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) started an investigation into an apparent accidental shooting that involved a three-year-old child that allegedly shot itself. The investigation came after a 9-1-1 call was placed from a home in Versailles. The child was transported by ambulance to Margaret Mary Health and then to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The injuries are non-life-threatening and the investigation is still ongoing.
